Greg Poole

Gregory Poole is a seasoned technology executive and the Senior Director of Field Applications and Partner Engineering at Advanced Micro Devices (AMD). With over three decades of experience in the semiconductor industry, Poole has been instrumental in shaping AMD’s customer-focused innovations and technical strategies. A graduate of the University of Texas with a degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering, Poole has also completed postgraduate work in solid-state physics and mathematics, adding depth to his technical expertise. In his role at AMD, Poole leads a global team dedicated to ensuring the seamless integration of AMD’s products with customer needs at every stage—from concept and design to implementation and optimization. He oversees engineering solutions across AMD’s diverse portfolio, which includes client devices such as handhelds, notebooks, desktops, and workstations, as well as enterprise and HPC servers, and AI solutions developed in collaboration with global partners. Additionally, Poole manages AMD's extensive global lab infrastructure, which supports development, debugging, and performance analysis for the company’s product families. His commitment to fostering strong partnerships and delivering tailored solutions has been pivotal in maintaining AMD’s competitive edge and its ability to adapt to rapidly evolving market demands.
